The picture cancellation depicts the Ault Lighthouse in France's Northern Coast.
This Lighthouse station was established in 1885. But, inactive from 1940 to 1951.
The Lighthouse was located on the Boulevard du Phare in the Ault village about 16 km North of Eu. The Ault village is one of the famous Tourist place in France having lot many cliffs overlooking the English Channel.
Established in 1885, the Ault Lighthouse:
- Tower is ROUND
- Tower has a Lantern and triple gallery
- Lower 2/3 of the Tower is WHITE reinforced concrete
- Upper portion of the Tower is RED brick
- Lantern and upper Gallery painted RED
- Height is 28 metres
- Colour scheme of the LIGHT is WHITE or RED
- LIGHT character is OCCULTING 3 (three) times every 12 seconds
