The Tubbataha Lighthouse is located on South Tubbataha. The Tubbataha Reefs are two coral atolls in the center of the Sulu Sea. The un-inhabitated islands are preserved as the Tubbataha Reefs National Park. It is nominated at the New Seven Wonders of Nature. The Tubbataha Reefs are one of the best known scuba diving locations in the Philippines.
Tubbataha Lighthouse was commemorated by Philippines Post in its Lighthouse Stamp Series - I with the release of 6 peso stamp on 22-Dec-2005.
Established in 1980, the Tubbataha Lighthouse:
- Tower is OCTAGONAL concrete
- Tower with gallery rises from the center of octagonal concrete keeper's house
- Height is 15 metres
- Colour scheme of the LIGHT is WHITE
- LIGHT character is TWO FLASHES every 10 seconds
