The Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is the best known U.S. built Lighthouse in Philippines. The Lighthouse is located on the South-West of the point of the Cape. Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is in Western Coast of the Pangasinan Province of the Luzon Island, the largest island of Philippines.
Cape Bolinao Lighthouse was commemorated by Philippines Post in its Lighthouse Stamp Series - I with the release of 6 peso stamp on 22-Dec-2005.
Established in 1905, the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse:
- Tower is CYLINDRICAL concrete
- Tower with octagonal watchroom, Lantern and double gallery
- Tower mounted on an octagonal pyramidal base
- Tower painted WHITE with RED trim
- Height is 27 metres
- Colour scheme of the LIGHT is WHITE
- LIGHT character is a FLASH every 5 seconds
